Not only that but some in dash DVD players for cars have an extremely large face plate which could obstruct other elements in the dash.

The days are over when the average car DVD player only take DVD, CD and VCD discs and will only handle one or two media formats.
Nowadays, with the rise of the computer and burnable discs people expect portable DVD players to handle a range of discs and media formats. And they expect you to tell them what the player can handle.
When putting the car DVD player details into your listing make sure you list each disc type separately and separate out video, audio and picture formats to make it clear to your potential customers what the automotive DVD can do and what it can’t do.

Previously resellers just had to worry about PAL, NTSC and SECAM.
Now with the gradual change from analog to digital you need to worry about DVB, ATSC and ISDB as well.
This is especially important in the US where people will buy a DVB player just because it says it is a digital TV player even though US broadcasters use ATSC signals… and blame you when they can’t get the signal they want.
A way to fix this in your listings might be to list the TV functions like this:

People want to do more with their car DVD players than just use the radio, the DVD and CD function these days.
They also want to plug in their iPods, USB sticks or SD cards, use it as a GPS receiver, screen for a reversing camera as well as feed video and sound footage to screens and speakers in the back of the car.
