720p just bought Sony LCD 32 "and trying to establish with DirecTV – no channels found via HDMI. Please help!?
I just bought a 32 "Sony Bravia KDL-32L504. I have an HD receiver from DirecTV I used a television standard definition for the last 3 months. Finally updated to HDTV. Receiver is connected to the new TV with HDMI cable. Preprogrammed finds no channels. Have you put the video input selector of the TV to HDMI yet Registered? HDMI is a high-tech version of the oldest yellow / red / white cable connection – cables carry only the current audio / receiver DIRECTV video – no ability to change channels. Channel scan may not see this coming, because it is designed for use on digital cable. However, you must change channels on your DirecTV box.
