Energy Sistem has released its 4040 Touch portable media player/MP4 Player. The Energy Sistem 4040 Touch features a 2.8-inch high-resolution QVGA touchscreen display, 16GB internal memory for storage and if you need even more memory it also features a microSD card slot. The Energy Sistem 4040 does also support the most common audio, video, text and image formats such as:

• WAV
• WMA
• MPEG4
• XviD
• BMP
• JPG
• and the eBook reader can handle all the TXT files and the voice recording.

The player does actually also support Microsoft’s PlayFX. The Energy Sistem 4040 also has built-in speakers so you don’t even need earplugs even though it might be a good idea to have a pair. With the 4040 follows a pair of Hi-Fi Headphones with Neodymium magnets, so the earplugs is no problem. It also features a FM tuner so you can listen to the radio. It also has a microphone.

As for the prices, the Energy Sistem 4040 Touch in 16GB costs $150 or around €120. If this model is bigger than your needs, the company have also recently rolled out some other new models, the 5020 and 5021. Those players features the same as the 4040 except that they drops the touchscreen and cut the storage down to 4GB. That lowers the price down to €85, or just over $100.
