For the longest time, the CECT P168 was the best seller among the iPhone clones. It still is, but it’s grip on the market is weakening. I think that’s because as consumers start to accept and embrace the Chinese knock offs as legitimate contenders, they’re also starting to become more choosy and picky about which model they go with. The company addressed this with the release of the SciPhone i68, a shake and tilt quad band model that contained the latest version of Java. The SciPhone has been extremely well received because of the previously mentioned features and because the phone is among the sleekest, thinnest, and fastest iPhone clone to date.
Features On The CECT i9: The new i9 is the updated version of the SciPhone. The company has expanded the memory (it can now hold up the 4GB) and upgraded the camera (there is now 2.0 mega pixels).
The i9 enjoys the finger touch interface as well as the “menu flow in and out” function. It has an e-book reader, the ability to record FM radio, and slide unlock. Like most of the iPhone replicas, it’s dual sim, which means you can have two phone numbers or plans on one phone. Like the SciPhone, it’s a quad band, shake and tilt model with the latest edition of Java.(Shake and tilt means that you can advance songs, wallpapers, video and other media by shaking the phone. You can take the image to wide screen by just tilting the phone.
The i9 also enjoys all of the “everything in one phone” features we’ve come to expect from the clones, including: dual sim standby; web browsing, emailing and texting; Bluetooth; MP3 / MP4; web cam / digital camera; FM radio; and e-book reader. It’s also slim, sleek and fast, weighing only 95 grams.
But, I believe what makes this phone truly great and so popular is Java because it allows you to really personalize the phone, with the possibilities being endless. There are literally thousands of third party software options / downloads available. Productivity (MSN, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) and gaming options are dramatically improved.
Price wise, you may be surprised that the i9 came right of the gate in the mid 100s. Considering most clones come down in price pretty rapidly, this phone may just be a contender if you’re looking for a quad band shake and tilt iClone on which you can download additional games and software.
